![]() There was tremendous growth in her character, which you felt like you were along for the entire ride. I was instantly drawn to Tabatha and rooted for her to stand in her truth. The characters were well developed with depth, witty banter, deep connection, lots of chemistry, and very likable. This would be the perfect beach or lazy day read. The story is narrated solely by Tabatha, from her perspective. This was my lunch book, so every day at lunch, regardless of the day, I would read this book and it would put me in a better mood for the afternoon. Who doesn’t love a second chance romance trope? I certainly love this trope. And if I let myself get close, could his secret break my heart all over again? And I don’t want to avoid him, although I know I should. Work throws us together, and there’s no avoiding him, even if I wanted to. Fast forward eleven years and just when I think I’m finally over Noah, he’s back. The guy I spent one heady, intoxicating summer with, only to have my heart snapped in two-not by him, but by me. He was the guy who went from childhood friend to teenage love. I requested a digital advanced readers copy from Kate O’Keeffe and Wild Line Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased. Everything was resolved in the best way, and the epilogue was perfection! What a great ending to this charming series! The conflict in the end made total sense to me, and I liked how they communicated in the moment. Honestly, the tree was like a character in itself. I adored that they had a special oak tree where all the important parts of their relationship happened, and I liked how there was a storyline about saving the tree from being chopped down by land developers. Seeing them spend time together in the town where they first fell in love was so romantic. I really enjoyed the chapters that were flashbacks to when they first were together - those scenes were just *chef's kiss* □ I loved how Tabitha quickly admitted to herself that present day Noah is still the hottest and most irresistible man she's ever met. This book is my new favorite in the series! I am quickly becoming a fan of second chance romance, and Noah and Tabitha had such a beautiful love affair. ![]() Could this be their chance at rekindling their old flame or is it better to leave the past alone? They also find themselves taking a trip down memory lane and realizing that maybe they both still have unresolved feelings for one another. Soon Tabitha and Noah are taking a weekend trip just outside of the town where they grew up to meet with one of the artists who works exclusively with her gallery. Now Tabitha is a successful art gallery owner, and she is shocked to learn that Noah is now an art dealer whose client wants to purchase from her gallery. Despite their split, Tabitha never got over Noah, so seeing him at a wedding brings back all the memories of their fifteen month romance.
